Pom Oliver
Deputy Leader and Director of Film Production

Pom Oliver brings a wealth of experience and a multifaceted skill set to the team as the Deputy Leader. With a strong background in film production, Pom beat the helm of directing all filming, photography, and editing for the expedition. Her keen eye for detail and storytelling ensured that the visual documentation of the journey is both compelling and informative.

Known affectionately as "Nursie" on previous polar expeditions, Pom was also responsible for running the physiological data gathering, focusing specifically on the psychological impact of the expedition on the team members. Her dual role in both creative and scientific aspects of the expedition underscores her versatility and dedication.

In documenting the expedition's progress and its findings, Pom's work plays a crucial role in communicating the expedition's discoveries and the broader messages about climate change and its impacts.

Her blend of creative talent, scientific acumen, and compassion, but measured as a deputy, makes her an integral part of the expedition team.

As an active supporter of various mental health-related charities for many years, her experience and expertise was invaluable in ensuring that the team remained mentally resilient throughout their journey.

Pom is a seasoned polar explorer, with two significant expeditions with Rosie Stancer to both the North and South Poles, cementing their strong working relationship and mutual trust. Her extensive experience in extreme environments makes her an indispensable member of the team.
