In this months blog, you see my left foot wrapped up in a very fetching bag, used whilst returning through London Heathrow Airport after having amputated my frostbitten toes some three weeks earlier in the Arctic on my 2007 North Pole Solo Expedition.
The procedure was deftly done by self, in somewhat tricky conditions with a trusty Leatherman. I thought this photo was a good place to start the **Bystander Blog** journey.
